In September of 2007, Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) began electrical installation work at the four water treatment plants that provide fresh water to the Antelope Valley East Kern region of California. The four plants are:

• Quartz Hill Water Treatment Plant
• Rosamond Water Treatment Plant
• Acton Water Treatment Plant
• Eastside Water Treatment Plant

MEC is supplying the electrical, instrumentation & control material and labor to add chemical treatment upgrades to the four water treatment plants. Also, MEC is adding ozone generation (disinfectant) facilities at each site, and upgrading the existing facilities to increase production.
