Corona del Mar Control

MEC self-performed all work on the upgrade and installation of the electrical systems for the new chemical, administration and operations buildings at the Corona Del Mar Water Treatment Plant in Goleta, CA.

MEC electricians removed the existing control system and replaced it with a new control system, which was designed by our in-house Instrumentation & Control ( I&C) group. This modernized the entire control system.

The new system is comprised of Modicon Quantum processors with hot stand-by capabilities. It is a client server based relationship with six (6)servers utilizing the Wonderware Archestra and active factory software integration. The logic programming is Modicon Concept. Several network protocols had to be integrated in this project.
