As the electrical contractor for this Fast Track Project, Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) completed the electrical and telephone/data infrastructure during a one-year period between November 2003 to December 2004.

MEC’s subcontract, valued at $16.5 million, was for the installation of four 1750-KW generators on the roof as backups for a 750-KVA uninterrupted power system for the Tel-Data services and critical components of the building electrical infrastructure. A 20,000 square foot computer room, to be four-month time frame, was completed on an accelerated basis through multiple shifts.

In addition to normal/emergency power and lighting for 38 floors, MEC was also responsible for the installation of lighting control systems, a tenant fire alarm, audio/visual and building security.
