MEC Transportation has been responsible for the design, supply, installation and testing of some of the most advanced communications systems in the country for both heavy and light rail.
With the use of systems engineering and subsystems integration, MEC has helped to deliver solutions for their clients to ensure all transit systems are running safely and without incidents. Major subsystem elements installed include: SCADA networks, fiber optic transmission systems, fire and intrusion detection systems, radio and telephones.
MEC also has vast experience in the installation of station devices such as public address/variable message sign systems (PA/VMS), closed circuit televisions (CCTV) and field control system devices using both fiber optic and copper cabling.
