Overhead Contact Systems

MEC Transportation is the recognized leader in providing overhead contact systems (OCS) and has installed, tested and commissioned numerous OCS throughout the country.

MEC's responsibilities include the design and installation of systems ranging from 600 VDC to 2x25 kV AC. MEC has provided overhead contact systems that allow trains to operate in variable climatic conditions with the use of both auto-tensioned and fixed-termination styles of catenary.
