EXPO LINE CULVER CITY TO SANTA MONICA LRT PHASE 2
Culver City - Santa Monica, California
The LACMTA Exposition Transit Corridor Phase 2 project extended westward to Santa Monica from the Metro Expo Line Culver City Station. This 6.6-mile, double-track light rail expanded LACMTA’s system to 87 stations and over 93 miles of rail to destinations across L.A. County.
The design-build project included systems design, procurement, installation, testing and integration including: OCS, TPSS, train control, communications, electrical, C/S ductbank, traffic signals and street lighting.
The Expo Phase II expansion required seven bridge structures for grade separation, coordination with five existing LACMTA contracts, seven passenger stations, seven owner-furnished traction power substations, ten grade crossings, six interlockings and a tie-in to existing EXPO 1 LRT in Culver City, California.
