Lynnwood Link Extension

Seattle to Lynnwood, Washington

As the systems prime GC/CM contractor, Mass. Electric Construction Co., (MEC) installed all rail systems for the 8.5-mile Lynnwood Extension project. MEC coordinated with two independent civil prime GC/CM contractors constructing the civil, structural, stations and track to complete this northerly extension of the Link Light Rail System. 

MEC’s scope of work included the complete systems package, involving train control and signaling, communications, station passenger information, overhead catenary and traction power.  The project included five elevated passenger stations, three station parking garages, six traction power substations, 17 miles of standard overhead catenary (OCS), four interlockings controlled from five signal houses.
