METRO GOLD LINE FOOTHILL EXTENSION PHASE 2A

Mass. Electrical Construction Co. (MEC) was responsible for the complete systems package as part of the design-build project to construct 11.5 miles of light rail double-track from the terminus of the existing Gold Line in Pasadena to Citrus Avenue in Azusa, Calfornia. MEC’s scope included management of the design, procurement, construction and testing of the train control system, including grade crossings, communications, station electrical, overhead contact system and traction power.

MEC performed all electrical work, including all underground conduit and wiring, substation work, OCS, signaling and instrumentation, integration of systems to existing Gold Line, and systems startup and commissioning as well as installation of the TPSS and all associated ductbanks.
