WEST GREENWICH 2.1-MW SOLAR PROJECT

West Greenwich, Rhode Island

This 2.1-MW solar project was a winter installation, presenting safety concerns and logistical challenges. Despite snow and icy conditions, MEC worked with union labor to complete all work on time and budget. Work involved installation of:

  • 7,480 modules
  • RBI racking system (792 posts driven)
  • 28 combiner boxes
  • Four advanced energy inverters (two 333-kW and two 500-kW Solaron converters)
  • Data acquisition system (DAS)
  • 21,720 linear feet of underground conduit
  • 26,050 linear feet of feeder cable
