YBOR HISTORIC TROLLEY

Mass. Electric Construction Co.’s (MEC) scope of work on the TECO Line Streetcar System included a 2.3-mile section of double and single track line that connects the downtown area with the Channelside district and historic Ybor City in Tampa, Florida.

As part of its contract with Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART), Mass. Electric Construction Co. performed the installation of the overhead contact system for the entire line as well as the storage and maintenance facility. MEC also installed a traction power substation in the maintenance facility.
